Milly’s first beach day.

She’s a really excellent little traveler. New places don’t bother her at all. I kept an eye on her behavior though, in case the sound of the roaring waves among all else was too overstimulating for her. But she was perfectly at ease, foraging, and preening, and (when presented with sunflower seeds) providing happy little pips.

In the wild, these little birds would be traveling all over the place. I think introducing new settings, in a controlled manner, is really excellent for their incredible little brains. I know the sunlight and fresh air certainly did her well, if nothing else!

Now that we’re home again, there’s only one thing she wants from me.
