Ok people, for anyone who's interested, this is what cuttlefish molds look like.
Top right and bottom right you can see how the cuttle fish starts out, I cut off the excess, and rub two bits together in a circular motion, this flattens the parts that have to face eachother perfectly.
I then take the wax molds I have made earlier (you can see them covered in cuttlefish dust on the right, middle) and very carefullypush them between the two bits, using a rocking back and forwards motion, holding the cuttlefish in the palms on my hands.
Sometimes they break, this can be my own damn fault, carelessness of the way I was doing the imbedding, or the cuttlefish may have had a fault before I started, like a crack down the centre.
If they DON'T break, I end up with the bits you see here, with an impression on either side, a mirror image.
I still have to cut the spru for each one (the place I pour the pweter into).
I'll update you more with the next step when I have finished it.
