What could be considered pets to Drift Wings, I mentioned/showed them interacting with Drift Wings in passing before and decided to expand on them more.
More or less Einzhelle's wolves/dogs, HOWEVER their behavior is also not really earth-canine-like at all.
SOMETHING OF A CLOSED SPECIES, DO NOT MAKE YOUR OWN WITHOUT PERMISSION
Lougou are an intelligent species, very loyal and often choosing to become companions to Drift Wings akin to or as pets. They are capable of adapting to speech though it's a little broken and can only manage so many words, which is just a small example of how smart they really are. They are carnivores, and in the wild usually hunt and live together in family units, with members of the family taking care of many duties at any time. It's not uncommon for families of Lougou to take up comfortable residence near Drift Wing homes, towns and cities, offering protection and companionship in exchange for food, shelter and even in some cases medical assistance they may lack in the wild.
Fairly mild in behavior and mannerisms, they are however not to be underestimated in terms of how far they can be pushed before feeling threatened or angered. One should take care to recognize when a Lougou is angry/upset, as they bare their teeth and snap their jaws, stamp the ground and wag their tails while raising and lowering their head feather-fur crowns repeatedly. Unfortunately it's not uncommon for an Earthen(earthling/human) to mistake the behavior, especially tail wagging as playfulness. Indeed while vocal with communication, they also use many nonvocal signals and body language, usually involving their crowns and tails. Their central head 'gems' are eyes specially evolved to pick up body heat of their prey, which is highly useful when the weather is especially cold when it comes to finding food.
