#2: While the Giant Sleeps

So we all know the story about the delusional Giant that mistook a Knight for his long lost baby but after getting her dress, the Giant finally fell down on a seat and began to drift off into the land of dreams (probably the most decent night sleep he's had in days, having been up all the time with worry). Keep an close eye on her and his sense close, he puts the warrior in his baby's cradle to rock to sleep. However, the Knight sees an opportunity to escape. It's very trick, since the Giant is so close she barely move without arising his suspicions. But in the midst of her escape she notices something is amiss upon the corner of her eyes.

She instantly recognizes the creature, disguised a newborn Giant's baby but wandering around the room like a frightened little mouse. It is a 'Changeling', a reclusive species of elvan creature known for replacing other creature's offspring with one of their own. However, this indeed a sight since the great mystery in the Knight's mind is, why this particular changeling is an adult make to look like a child, and why it seems to be sneaking around in the giant's room unnoticed. The short answer, which anyone would guess is that the Changeling too, is a prisoner by design. However, in that prison there is a hope, one way that may stop the giant's madness and save the neighboring hamlets.

Only time will tell what can be done.
