5 TALES to REMEMBER, NURSERY FABLES:
#4: When the Dragon Cradle Rocks
The tale of of the cowardly knight takes a turn. He's managed to make off with quite a heavy haul and is only inches away from escape without any point of confrontation. However, for reasons unknown the dragon starts to stir again. This time, perhaps that bed wetting problem has left her a little cranky for waking up in the middle of the night. And so she starts to wake causing a mass of jingling coins like a death bell ringing in the cave. And off the corner of her eye she can make out a little speck of tin, the knight who has all of sudden lost control of his legs and arms, paralyzed with fear. I doubt the dragon is now in the best of moods consider that both her treasure is being stolen and the now cold wet sensation between her legs.
Many things can happen at this point. It could be good, it could be bad. The knight could be eaten or just left alone. And the dragon could throw a little fit that could cause the cave to crumble. Yet, at this point all that is left is the fear. The fear of what to do next and what the other will do too. If I were the knight, I'd just drop the treasure and run, but for a guy who's a bit of a coward, I think he's finally learning that there's a fine line between bravery and that old common response of stupidity. There might be enough time to escape if he'd just drop that treasure and pick up that sword and shield on his back. But all these questions, we know for sure until this moment has passed.

Why not perhaps the big baby dragon throws a tantrum, (more perhaps because of her soiled diaper than the gold cause she's only a BABY dragon, I think comfort would come before greed at that age), and maybe the knight, feeling a lil' sorry for the big girl, tries to help comfort her. That's I'll say if this story's continued.
