Time for another episode of "Babs attempts a Pony".
Not sure how broadly known this is, but I'm a pretty big fan of DJ Pon3 AKA Vinyl Scratch. She's my favourite Pony.
From her funky style, to her taste in music, to her two toned mane, this is a critter after my own heart. :)
So after a pal of mine taught me some tricks in Photoshop, I decided to test them out on her. I still need practice, but I think this is a good start! I doubt I'll ever become a Pony artist, but I think the lady DJ here is worth the effort of drawing her. I may just try her in my own style some time though. :)

You may not believe me when I say this, but I think your style actually works very well with ponies. Sure, you can tweak anatomy a bit - horse anatomy is like this dirty spell that trips up every mage - but you captured the cartoony show quality without really changing how you would draw any sort of critter. I can dig it.
Also Vinyl is a cool pony, 'tis true!
