yes, they are all brothers and not the nicest lot save for Daniel who finally sees the wickedness of his brothers. The Whateleys are REALLY bad guys, and the Smoots are like their hired thugs. The story that goes with them is very H P Lovecraftian ;)

What characters are these to? They all seem really interesting.

With the first page, they are characters of a H p Lovecarftian sort of story I fiddled with--but it was really dark and had some questionable plot lines that disturbed even me ;)

Ah! Well, these are characters that go to a rather H P Lovecraftian story I was trying to do. The Whateleys (from "The Dunwich Horror by Lovecraft) are unknown decendants that are trying to bring the Old Ones back into the world. The Smoots are three brothers that are Whateleys' henchmen, though DAniel betrays them and seeks the help of the humanimals to stop them. I hope that once I get all the characters complied and sorted, then maybe they will inspire me to get back to writing.

The hill Giant looks a tad mean? or is he just bitter at something?

He just looks mean. He is a really cool guy. As all the giants they are rather reclusive, but he shows up when he is needed, and has a great, if odd, sense of humor.
