My characters Aydin and Halifax... possibly when they're older? Figured I'd post this cause I'm not gonna finish it...

They're both Theoni, which is a race of unicorn/horse-people I made up, fufu. Halifax is the yellowy one--he's become the emperor of the Theoni after a rather bloody war, and Aydin is his chief bodyguard. In the war though, Aydin and Halifax were on opposite sides, and Aydin actually killed Halifax's father, who would have been emperor. If he hadn't died, that is.

Aydin only fought because he was forced to--his family's lives were threatened. But then his boss, the previous, insane emperor, goes back on his word, and kills Aydin's family. Aydin doesn't give a crap anymore and goes to Halifax, confessing to killing Halifax's dad and hoping Halifax will kill him.

Doesn't work though. Halifax gets super suspicious, and then lets Aydin live, despite Aydin's repeated attempts to get Halifax's soldiers to run him through.

Eventually Halifax tells Aydin that the only repentance he will accept is if Aydin treats Halifax as he would a god. He tells Aydin to worship him, live only for him, and die only for him. Thing is though, Halifax has had the hots for Aydin since before the war, when they were both training under the same instructors.

Lucky for him though, Aydin takes his words to heart, and they become a pair of very messed up but super loyal lovers.

Basically the plot to a web-comic I've been planning for ages that one day I will make!
