It pisses me off that the quality of art I can produce can be so drastically different when timed with the exact same timeframe, and at times, the exact same character. I do some sketches of my character's head and it's complete trash. Proportions might be odd, or something might just not look right. Other times, I'll draw it - out of the blue, and it looks like this. Exactly what I wanted it to look like - or as close to it as I can get. Maybe one or two stray lines I'd change now that I look at it now, but regardless...

And I'm not saying this is perfect and a work of art; It's -art-, but it's far from perfect. It's not shaded in any way, and honestly there's plenty that could've probably been done better. I'm sure that spike that kinda curves on the side of his face could've been done better. Not sure what's going on with the neck, since it was different in the sketch. Not sure about the nostril, now.. the eye ridge annoys me; the line weight is horrible for each side of his face. Plenty wrong, but it looks good. It doesn't look messed up. *shrugs*

It's one of the things that makes me hesitate to draw lately. I get discouraged by it, despite the fact I know that I'll have far fewer issues like this if I'd just... keep... drawing! >_<

It sucks. It really does.
