Not much is known about Mourn. All that is known is that he use to be a slave for the plantation that the manner use to be in it's early days, and now is he is another death dealer like all things that live in the swamp, but yet seeks revenge for the way he was treated and for his past life as a slave that was wasted. He was found half way buried in the back of the manner. His back ribs, spine, skull, back of his legs, and arms were sticking out of the Earth. Allowing plants and weather to wear on him. With Creeping Charley grown on his back and holding him together Fred found him and breathed life into him. Now ironically making him a servant/helper for Fred in the graveyard or for the Swamp. Fueled with more rage as he finds even in death he is another slave for things of the swamp to use. Yet unable to rebel as the life that was given back could be easily taken and replaced with another. Though sometimes he gets to let his anger flow free on poor victims that wander into the swamp. That satisfy him only for a short time; he desires more. Only to be found shoveling, or holding the light, to digging up corpses.
