WELL, Here's the first thing I drew in our new place! Seems only appropriate, seeing as she's one of my biggest obsessions and the fictional female character that I relate to more than any other. (W-Which is saying something.)

I also like toying around with the idea that she can be loosely tied to October's birthstone.

"But LA, Opal is October's birthstone and your favorite gem what are you even saying?"

BUT GET THIS.

October has two birthstones. Opal originally (and in my mind, mainly) But they also introduced pink tourmaline/zircon.

It's no Rose Quartz, or Pink Diamond (as I'm a huge supporter of the pink diamond theory) BUT IT'S HELLA RELATEABLE! 8D




So, going by birthstones:

January- Garnet

February- Amethyst

March- None (Aquamarine)

April- Diamond(s)

May- None (Emerald)

June- Pearl & Alexandrite (Moonstone)

July- Ruby

August- Peridot & Sardonyx

September- Sapphire

October- Opal & Pink Tourmaline/Zircon- "Rose Quartz"

November- None (Citrine)

December- None (Blue Zircon, Tanzanite, Turquoise) I want to associate Lapis with one of those, but Lapis Lazuli is not a clear gemstone. Now turquoise isn't clear either, but it's such a lighter blue it's more Robin's Egg than the deep cerulean of Lapis that I can't bring myself to compare them :T


Left Out: Jasper, (Realistically- Rose Quartz), Malachite, Sugulite, Rainbow Quartz, Lapis Lazuli


I hope the other birthstones get debuts soon!

Anyway guys, right now we've just about got the apartment all set up! I'm hoping to finish my queue and reopen commissions the last week of September- but I'll be letting you know. We'll finally have internet at the apartment on Thursday and between now and then I'll just be working on commissions without uploading them.
