Well hello!
It occurs to me that not everybody reads my journals, so I'm posting this as a submission.
This is a video that was shot a couple years ago at Further Confusion. I spent the ensuing time between then and now editing this thing. There's thousands of edits. Why? Because it's live-action stop-motion.
I had a lot of fun putting this together - I really hope you all enjoy watching it!

cast:
Tungsten - a meerkat
Tibolf - a wolf
Bosco - a bear
Fuzzy Otter - a river otter
Avery Wolf - a wolf
Pass it along to anybody you think might enjoy seeing this! It's possibly the best 3 minutes of your day!

I sometimes feel bad about linking people multiple times, but then I realize how many times I end up watching it. It's definitely easy to find something new on each re-watch.
I really, really appreciate the kind words. I worked really hard on this, and am glad people finally get to enjoy it!

since I can see you're interested - it goes like this:
I was talking with Croc about how doing something creative doesn't take a lot of pre-planning. We walked out onto the nearby streets of San Jose, past the convention center, and in to the park you see in the video. We had a great afternoon talking and I ended up scribbling a few ideas. The stop-motion aspect was my medium - that was going to be a constant. Croc and I knew our critters would be in it, but how many to invite? I put a line out, and got the respondents you see (which ended up being the best choices). An afternoon of public-dodging shooting ensued, with a promise we'd shoot pickup the next day (we didn't). I didn't have a proper soundtrack until maybe a year ago.
The collage-style titling I'd been toying with since I first thought about stop motion as a medium, but what you see in the video took me 2 nights (~5 hours?)
I didn't storyboard anything. We worked off half-baked notes and instinct. I'm glad there was a lot of fooling around, that footage made terrific diversions to the just-so stop motion rigidity. The editing is another story entirely. I'll show you my timeline sometime, if that's what you're in to.
Thanks for the kind words on Twitter. It really means a lot!
