I wonder why Virax hasn't already heard about this amulet that has the power to undo the aging spell place on them? If he's been keeping tabs on the Mythies then he'll probably learn about the amulet when he sees this interview on tv. I know you said he doesn't watch tv but I'm betting he started just to keep track of the Mythies activities. Or maybe Virax already knows about them buying the amulet and is just waiting to steal it from them so he doesn't have to buy it himself. That's the kind of thing a villain like him would end up doing.
