Ozzie used to be an excellent swimmer. Some vague accident fucked up her gills really badly and they’re basically unusable now. She has to keep them bandaged up constantly because her operculum is gone and the scars are very sensitive and can easily be torn again. The fact that she can’t swim normally anymore obviously bothers her a lot, not that she lets anyone know, and has taken the power-type path instead (that’s why her legs are all dragon-y). Flea is aware of her frustration, but doesn’t bring it up.
