I thought that for my next Winestream, I would try something different. Something bold, something daring, something shocking. Yes, folks: I am going to drink red wine!

Actually, red zinfandel is the only red wine that I will drink. It has a very appealing finish that is reminiscent of black pepper; it is not at all as astringent as, say, a Bordeaux or a cabernet; and it has about 50% more alcohol than the average white wine!

So, this upcoming Saturday evening we are going to do a little experiment to determine why these two old-world red zinfandels are so different in price. It will be Napa vs. Sonoma in a knock-down, drag-em-out duel to the finish!
