I understand your concern. This has been voiced more than once, and I have taken it constructively every time. I am actively working to make my style more unique, and separate it from any other artist’s. Most of what I learned about drawing came from following Coffaefox, and I never intended to undermine her work in any way. She is a huge inspiration to me and I would never want to do that to her. Developing style takes time, and with each new thing I draw, I’m working to grow better, and in a new direction. I apologize if I have offended anyone. That was never my intention.

I see where you're coming from, and I don't disagree with you. However, I can say that I'e been watching Tohru draw for quite some time now, and everything she says is true. She has been trying new things. She has been working hard to make things better. It takes time. Iw atched her draw this entire reference sheet, start to finish. Not a single thing was traced. Nothing. Coffae's art has always been her favorite, and she subconsciously mimics that without intending to. It's simply a knee-jerk reaction because of how she learned. I still hold my guitar like my tutor showed me, as wonky as it may be. That may be a crummy analogy, but with learning anything new it's difficult to do something radically different from everyone else form the get-go. You have to start somewhere, and learn from someone.

She's getting better. More unique. I can see it. I follow it closely. It might be hard to see, but it's there.

Keep up the good work, Tohru. You are an amazing artist. Never let anyone tell you otherwise. <3
