Hey everyone! It's been a while but I finally finished a large scale painting! :D This was so much fun, although I was feeling pretty discouraged during the preliminary sketches. Even when it really wasn't coming together I stuck it out and made it come together. :) All that work paid off in my opinion. There are some nit picky things I'd like to alter, but overall I'm really happy with it! I decided to make things more interesting with a little alien plein air painter. This landscape was originally supposed to be Kepler 62e, an exoplanet orbiting in it's stars habitable zone. The two planets in the sky could be Kepler 62b and Kepler 62c but I really just put them in their because I wanted to and they looked cool. :P Kepler 62e is located at the inner edge of the habitable zone, which may lead to more intense heating from it's parent star along the equator driving more ferocious winds and generating more storms. It's a super earth, which means it's larger than earth. It's thought that Kepler 62e would be an ocean world, but landscapes are a bit more fun.
