All the character portraits I’ve done…so far. To prevent spoilers, and to leave some mystery, I didn’t do them all at once.
Yes, there is meaning behind where they are placed.
Yes, the character bios (linked in the index), gives hints.
Yes, there are more characters than this, but it’s understandable because some of the ones pictured here ar–*bzzrt*——-*classified*

Damn, a "reminds me of..." comment so soon. [Or should I be proud I lasted this long without it]. I really hate them, but expected the inevitable at some point *shrug*
Anyway, just curious :) : Why does it remind you of that? I haven't read image comics in...damn, a decade and a half: no idea what those things are. Please don't trouble yourself with linking me shit, just share ya lovely thoughts :)

It's the same artist who drew the Young Avengers. I think it's the body language and clothing selection. Face-wise, yours look lively, his(hers?) tend to have the forever bored face.
Taking another look at the pic I'm getting a Stjepan Sejic vibe from them. Maybe it's the unhinged attitude on the characters pose.

Oh, you meant the artist? I thought you meant the characters. My mentions still apply either way; including me not knowing who the artist is. I don't follow american comics like that, especially the recycled superheroes (Even though I do love that one artist who is doing the current ghost rider; don't follow the comic, but been a fan of his work even before he got the gig. Can't recall the name).
I'm afraid I don't know who that Sejic is (thanks for sharing your "why" though :) ). I don't think you mean any harm, but again I must mention: I hate most comparison things (vibes, reminds, looks likes, etc. etc.), as I always see it as an indirect accusation of copying. Even if I love the artist/ work I'm being compared to, if i didn't mention it as an influence or dedication (etc.), then I find no honor in it. I know most people can't help it (I do it to, I think it's a natural brain thing), but I don't need to know who I remind them of. I rather the person let me "stand on my own two feet" so to speak (when put next to established properties I mean), with how they perceive my work.

The artist (The Wicked + The Divine) is Jamie McKelvie. He does seem obsessed with drawing teenagers though.
And Stjepan can be found as Nebezial on Deviantart.
No worries, there so many talented artists out there that I like to think that at some point their thoughts align once in a while =3

Not familiar with the Mckelvie by name, I'm sure I've seen his work around. Funny that I recognize style a lot faster and easier than names.
Oh, I watch Nebezial on DA! Wow, just realized I recognize pen names faster than real names.
"Great minds think alike" type sentiment huh? I understand some truth to--ah, I'll stop there, since it opens a whole long conversation. So I'll just say: interesting :)

I think I'd really like to know about Dei'd wayet (I think I spelled that right, couldn't copy past from the site. Top right gal.)
Just read where is says:
Realized age = Age in which the mortal body (host) dies, releasing the full potential of the Epitomé: which lives on, gradually taking over the body functions with its own energy (no longer aging, becoming semi-immortal, etc.).
So they take over a humans body and take them over?
And, going from left to right each tier, I really like numbers 1, 3, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 13.

Close: Dei'd-wayt . Feel free to ask questions about her.
I'm so sorry, I need to wrod that so much better.
So, to reiterate: Realized age [now Awakened Age [slang term "Woke age"]] is when an Epind , who are physically human, die. Then their Emovere awakes to it's full potential by mimicking the appearance of the human cells as they deteriorate. So eventually, they will only look human, but their body will actually be a physical manifestation of their Emovere (= The essence (dna) of an Epi, which is emotional energy).
Feel free to let me know if that wording is an improvement, or feel free to make suggestions on that as well.
Thanks for sharing your favs! Heh, if enough people like the comic, I'll do one of those popular polls for fun :) Maybe just for the patreon folks at first though.

So she became a female when she was still human? Or was it after she died and went through her transformation?
So what happens?
Do they go about their human lives, and then they die (From natural causes? Some seem pretty young.) and then come back to life as a Epi? What determines which humans go through this transformation upon death and which do not?
And you're welcome! As I said in that wet dream pic, I'm really intrigued by this idea. The fact you've added trans characters makes me love it all the more because you just don't see that anywhere! 8D
There's a few I'd REALLY like to get to know...... assuming I didn't have to worry about them eating me. X3

Mmmm ---classified---
If able to: some continue on with their human lives until folks start noticing the "no aging" thing. Most don't continue, for ---classified--- reasons.
Yeah, come back to life as epi (but more like transitioning epi, since they can still bleed red blood for a short time, until those things run dry)
Epi are all born epind: Their emovere (soul, essence, etc) becomes bound to the nearest human embryo (within it's first trimester). No rhyme or reason behind it, just coincidence.
BUT, Not all epind die and become Epi. It's a bit of a natural selection: if there are too many Epi of a genre, then no Epind of that genre can become an Epi. They would just die, and the Emovere would disperse (either to the nearest Epi, or the nearest emovere "nebula").
Coolness, glad to know :) Pictured are, three trans...and one or two intersex. The story I've always wanted to see, includes such diversity, so in i.pity.mé it goes.
Funny. Some might give a straight answer if you were to ask if they participated in that practice.
Which reminds me, a some point, I may open a q&r for the cast.

And do they die from natural causes or like they get shot then come back as epi? Or is it more like a parasite slowly taking over their body, but they're still in the same person and all, just their no longer human? Where they don't really die, just transition unnoticed until they stop aging.
Of course, some of them look more alien than others.
Yeah, but they're not going to tell you that they'll eat YOU if they're feeling peckish at the time. X3
I almost think I could tell who would and who wouldn't just by looking at this chart.
Like, for instance, I don't think Dei'd-wayt (how did you come up with the names btw?) would.
Something about her makes her seem so gentle and caring despite her masculine and rough appearance, especially in the hand holding pic of her, hehe.

You mean Epind? Yeah, It can vary just how much their dormant Epi abilities affect the human tissues: but generally, they are susceptible to anything that would kill a human, except for some diseases. And Most Epi tend to have longer life spans than regular humans: If they make it to old age, it's generally between 110-120 (like 4 out of 5 centenarian are Epind). They also tend to be physically stronger.
But there are Epind who are more susceptible to cancer and any other ailments that can be caused or worsened by intense emotions (i.e. mental health): Their emovere was larger than average when it bonded with the embryo. Which is a sign that they can be a Prince without really working for it (when a Prince position is available). Since their emovere is so large.
Oh, you mean when they die, is their emovere like a parasite? I suppose it can be thought of like that, but it's not a separate entity: When the human body dies, the Epi abilities are released, and their emovere eats away at the human tissue till their whole body is just...them (solid emovere). Epi describe it as just their emovere maintaining the human form out of habit, and kinda like a natural leash (which is why "going wild" can be dangerous).
That's cool you think that about Dei'd-wayt.
The name...it's a combination of confessions I've heard from such trans, the varying range I imagine some may feel like if their body strongly reflect the sex they were assigned and if they were raised in a strongly repressed community, and plus I thought it would be beautiful to have their name be the opposite of their character.

(skipping to the part about Dei'd-wayt)
Yeah, she just seems like someone I'd like to hang out with and design outfits for, since I'm sure it's hard for her to find good clothes in her size that fit well.
Number 7 (the well endowed girl dangerously close to showing her nips)and 11 (wearing the cap) interest me as well.

Fan art is always welcome :)
7 = Kréme, 11 = Calintz. Sorry I didn't make it easier to find their names: one would have to go to the index linked above and click the various names to find their bio. Although calintz is actually here in fa gallery too. Not sure if it has his bio here. Definitely in the tumblr though.
