I know transparent images aren't exactly great on FA, but I'm not really sure why I didn't post this here already.
his is Kiki, Krita's mascot. This is my submission for the Monthly Drawing Contest of September on the KDE forums. I really enjoyed drawing her.
If you liked it, make sure to comment! I'd love to hear about what you all think about it and what I can do to make it better!
Thanks for your attention!

When you commented I was just doing that XD
Thanks for the help and I'm really happy that you've liked it! Even though the rest of my current gallery is not exactly on the same vibe as this drawing is, I hope you may enjoy what there is to see there as well.
I need to publish more of my SFW artwork here.

It's in constant development, but yeah, it's kinda buggy sometimes. There's the problem that it can't proccess big enough brush sizes and it starts to get pretty heavy on memory with a complex drawing, but, you know? I can't live without changing my brush size with shift anymore. This single function makes it so wprth it.
But yeah, they're always working on the program, and I think it will only get better from now on. They're even including animation tools on it on the next update!
And yeah, Kiki is really cute, I was waiting for an opportunity to draw her, and it showed up. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the comment! It's great to know that you liked it! I'm still trying to reach some kind of style of coloring and shading, and this was really fun to draw!
Well, Krita has exactly one thing that redeems it in my eye. See, it actually has many problems (which are getting better each released update, at least), one of them is it's processing speed of more complex brushes and their limit-size. They can't reach more than 1000px in diameter, and if they have many effects, like transparency, blending or whatsoever, it's going to lag. Hard. Effects done inside Krita also take a long time to preview, it's nothing like the real-time previews of Photoshop, for example, even for a hue change.
The thing is: You can change every single hotkey, including those from the software itself, not only tools. You can change the way the software works with your own shortcuts. This, in itself, makes it really good, as you can work the way you want.
But the thing that actually makes me not consider other programs right now, besides it being free, is that you can change the size of your brush holding Shift and dragging your pointer. This makes everything SO FAST and dynamic that I don't know why I never saw this feature anywhere else. I know that Photoshop does have something akin to this, but I don't know how it works, and Photoshop doesn't have one of the most customizable stabilizers in the market.
I really love how you can fine-tune your stabilizer to the point of perfection, even though I'm kinda lazy in this department.
I didn't expect to type this much about it, though XD
