The French Air Force actually flew them with the Light Aviation of the French Army (ALAT) and with the French Navy, they mostly served in the Algerian War for the liaison, rescue, reconnaissance missions. Their production was supervised by the WWII French ace Pierre Clostermann who often went on the front on board of one of them.
