Some of you have asked me about my dog Charlie. Well I suppose a picture is worth a thousand words. This is Charlie. As you can see he loves his hedgehog.
The picture on the top left was taken just before I left San Diego about June. he is about 2 years olds in this pic.
The Picture on the Top Right was taken the day I brought Charlie home from the shelter. (August 2007) He is about 9 months - 1 year old here.
The picture on the bottom was taken about Jan of 2008. Again he has his mini hog.
he actually has 3 hedgehog toys cuz he loves them so much. 2 of them are larger than the one in this pic. Also he has managed to kill the squeaker in one of his large hedgehogs but not in the other one so we call those 2 toys Jay and silent hog. Im sure you can guess which one is silent hog. Any how this is my brave dog Charlie, who by the way was first extreamly terrified of his first squeaky toy. Bravery is not one of his strong points unfortunately. He's just a licker not a fighter hehe.
Charlie is a small German shepherd if you haven't guessed. Tho by his markings i suspect he might be mixed with something.. He's just very small for a german shepherd. Any one know what he might be mixed with? I've see similar markings on other small german shepherds like him before and one owner told me he knew for a fact that his dog (that had the exact same style markings on his face back and tail) had some coyote in him, and if you compare the face markings to a coyote I can see the resemblances. I think thats why he liked my friend

Poor charlie hates going out side now. He has an indoor sunroom to hang out in so if I wait too long in the morning to let him out he just goes back to his bed and rolls on his back and looks at me as I hold the door open for him with this .. "I don't want to go outside today" look. Kind of like when a parent wakes a kid up to go to school and they don't want to get up and just pull the covers over their head and say.. "10 more mins.. " Charlie used to love going outside.. I think he's getting spoiled hehe. at least he has squirrels to chase here. Big ones too.
Oh yes haven't you heard? Indeed All Dogs to Heaven. I wonder if that extends by default to all canines? One can only hope hehe.. I think my favorite line in that movie is when Anabelle (the heavenly pink whippet) explains to Charlie the reason why all dogs go to heaven. She days "All dogs go to heaven because unlike people dogs are naturally good and loyal and kind". I would agree. :)
I also love Charlie's reponse to her when she tells him there are no surprises being the sinful K9 he was he caually remarks, " So you mean if I'm waiting for an inside straight I'd know in advance wether i've filled it?" (referring to Poker)
