Ainsley is a Nashitiri, a hermaphroditic race. They come in a few different subspecies; the Tun, as shown here, are native to the highlands but there are also the Nashitiri-Ron which live on the Wide Plains; the Nashitiri-Sek that live in the High Mountains; the Nashitiri-Qo who live in the Frozen Waste; and the Nashitiri-Tet that live in the Great Dessert. Each race has their own fur and horn pattern but what they have in common is that they have horns, their blood glows a bright magenta, and their fur gets coarser and longer close to their back.

There is an unofficial "subspecies" for those that come from mix parents, and that is the Nashitiri-Nar that are normally found in cities.
