Two really exciting performances at TFF2015: the first appearance of Bandthro, the musical collective featuring a completely variable set of artists--this time, Fox Amore, Rhubarb the Bear, Amadhia Albee, Pepper Coyote, Matthew Ebel, Alexander James Adams, Korozjin, dolphinboy...whew!
Bandthro was a formal show, with actual rehersal. Afterward, some of the Bandthro musicians came down to Kempi's—Furry Fiesta's nightclub and hospitality suite—for a more spontaneous and intimate performance. Great music, a great audience, and a special moment for Kempi's, which really came into its own as TFF's alternative music genre.

I went to the jazz performance Saturday night and was enthralled by the performance. I used to play drums a few years ago and miss playing music with others, especially whenever I see live music. One of my favorite TFF 2015 pictures was from that evening.

And I REALLY like Kempi's, it's a great venue :)
One thing that happened way way back in around TFF 2011 is they did a "jam session" in one of the large rooms, people brought random musical instruments and strummed together. The con was a little more free-form then, there was also a yoga meet that didn't have a lot of attendees (early in the morning, never works well for a panel...) The Jam Session might be worth resurrecting :)
