The only time I'd ever drawn my 'fursona' at work was back in the late 1990s, when I drew the bobcat on these gray plastic carts at the Alliance Entertainment warehouse in Coral Springs, FL. Part of my job was to pull merchandise from the shelves of said warehouse, and during lulls in pulling out these wares, I'd drawn 'Rob Cat' on the cart - covering the image up with the merchandise. Eventually, I got canned from this gig, but not for the 'graffiti'; I took one too many 'power naps' (oversleeping in the process).
