FCC means (French Catholic Church)
In cities and neighborhoods, many historic buildings are in danger of being torn down. Many old movie theaters, broadway houses, train stations and monuments have been destroyed due to a lack of interest of preserving. Not even old churches like this one are safe from the bulldozers.
And the church I'm talking about is the historic Saint. Vincent de Paul at 123 W. 23rd St., between 6th and 7th avenues. NYC. Never been to this church, but I've been wanting to check it out since I love French Catholicism. However, I got the bad news that the church officially closed it's doors in 2013. Despite strong protest from the Catholics of NYC demanding the church to continue to offer mass. As well as the president of France pleading Cardinal Dolan and mayor Bloomberg to save the church. Nothing came out of it and our good ole NYC Cardinal Dolan took no second though and closed the church.
The only thing that has the church from being torn down is a petition to the Vatican to step in and save the church. (Hopefully good can come out of it).
