So here we go, as promised, a more closeup picture detailing the insides of my AVARICE build.
Specs are as follows!
*Chassis: Lian Li PC-07SX (Tempered Glass & Brushed Aluminum)
*Cooling: 3x CoolerMaster Jetflo 120mm PWM Fans (Running Unrestricted 800-2400RPM) + 1 Thermaltake 140mm Side Intake
*CPU: Intel i7 3930K 3.2Ghz (3.8Ghz Turbo) 6 Cores - 12 Threads
*CPU Cooler: Swiftech H220X w/ Apogee XL Waterblock
*Motherboard: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme - Socket LGA2011 - Chipset X79
*RAM: 8x Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer DDR3 1866Mhz (fastest speed offered for model)
*GPU: ASUS DirectCU II OC Nvidia 780Ti
*PSU: EVGA SuperNova 1000W - 80Plus Platinum Certified
*Storage: 2x Samsung 120GB 840PRO SSD in RAID0, 1x Samsung 1TB 850 EVO SSD
*CD/DVD/BR: NONE
*Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64Bit
I think that about covers it there. Some whom have seen my prior pic with the Level10GT case may recognize some returning hardware here, but a lot of the core system has changed.
I'm hoping that this system can stay ahead of the curve long enough for the new emerging memory technologies, such as Intel's X-Point, to hit the market en masse. With any luck, I can skip the recently emerged DDR4 all together, in favor of tech that'll be dramatically faster.
Time will tell, but claws crossed on that!
Hope ya enjoyed a little further peak into what this Dracogryph uses for his processing and gaming delights. Hopefully the tempered glass didn't distort too much of the interior view!

Not quite! As much as I wish I could stuff 3 graphics cards into this thing, there's only space for 4 slots in the PC-07SX case. The main reason why I went with a 1000W PSU is for Future Proofing and I wanted a reliable PSU with a good warranty that met 80Plus Platinum efficiency standards.
EVGA warranties their SuperNova line for 5-10 years depending on the model. I think mine was either 7 or 10, but still, thats quite a long time. Certainly kicks the crap out of the 1000W NZXT HALE90 power supply it replaced just a couple months ago! XD
As for the Apogee XL waterblock, I can't say I've heard of any failures o.o The only thing I keep hearing is how its one of the best blocks you can get. Maybe you're thinking of its predecessor, the Apogee HD?

I work as IT Staff for a casino, so I'm pretty much surrounded by tech day and night, lol.
While transfer speeds are always nice, the main reason for me going with a 1TB EVO is that I'm absolutely finished with bulky, heavy mechanical media being inside this system. XD
The EVO replaced three Western Digital Harddrives - the result being that the system weighs about 5-7 pounds less with much less heat generation. It was so bad that the heat used to bleed onto the front panel, which is aluminum, making it quite unpleasant to touch. That all went away :D
And yeah, I love design aesthetics so I went with Crucial Tactical Tracers XD Mine are set to Streamer mode, so the channels on the right stream bottom to top, and the channels on the left (since they're reverse mounted) go top to bottom! Its quite a spectacular light show when the computer is doing things!
For $50 per 8GB kit (2x4GB), filling up on 32GB of the Tracers was a steal for the amount of customization you get on something as trivial as RAM. Plus, Crucial warranties their memory for the lifetime of the device. Its just a shame Crucial's MOD utility, which allows you change the RAM's colors and patterns, doesn't work on an X79 chipset motherboard. Or at the very least, it doesn't work on boards like my Rampage IV Extreme. Luckily for me, my friend let me put the sticks in his system long enough to get the color and pattern right. Now I'm golden! :D

Oh, I just realized I read your description wrong, I tho you had 2 1tb evos in raid 0 XP
Anyway, I guess that was an offer for the ram, is really cheap, I remember when I was saving for my Corsair Dominator Platinum they where 250$ and the they I went to buy them they got a price slice at 190$, I hit the buy button so hard XD

Hah, no worries on the mistake, dear :3
As for the RAM, for a time I had considered buying Corsair Dominator - and they do have lightbars that you can buy and install, though its just a simple light up logo. I used to own Corsair Dominators on my old DDR2 rig, it was good stuff too. But I couldn't justify the cost with 8 DIMM's on this board, and the Crucial Tracers had a unique flare and they had a manageable cost. Hence why I went with them X3
Now if I could just figure out why my Nvidia Driver keeps crashing at random when I'm playing MGS5, I'd be set... lol

I usually wait and jump to a new card every-other generation - and the 780ti is a pretty beastly card on its own. Only large MMO's or Bethesda's glitchy games have managed to put any sort of dent in it so far XD.
As for the Rampage Board, believe me I feel his pain... While I haven't had any USB failures yet, the board in general is just glitchy and finicky as fuck. I'm pretty sure its self-aware about the graphics card using a Riser, even though it shouldn't be able to tell a difference. Its because of that that I blame the board for not rebooting correctly 1/3 of the time, or how it'll post about an OC failure - even when no OC settings have been applied at all.
A part of me wants to believe that the Rampage IV - Black Edition is a Rampage IV Extreme with all the fuck-ups ironed out of it, but whether its worth a $350 gamble remains to be seen. But truth be told, I'm just eagerly awaiting the release of Intel's latest Optane technology and its associated competitors. DDR3/4 will be a thing of the past, and I'll be able to migrate from this god-awful board.
Thanks for the compliment though, and the warning too! :3
