From wat i have learned and heard a lot motherd r always worried for there childeren and always want wat is best for them so doesnt matter if he is a long life friend or just some1 he met 2 weeks ago still is somethin moms worry about a lot. :) Hope that makes more sense for you
I dunno if I'm reading a bit too much into it, but based on the 'tone of voice,' and the way her face is shaded in panel 4, I would guess that figuring out her son is gay was unexpected, and not entirely welcome. However, her usage of vocabulary going into panel 5 suggests that she would rather her son be happy as opposed to her own beliefs? There's also one of my favourite quotes: you can only be betrayed by someone you trust. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here Zeta!
aaaaaawesome. That last line was beautiful...
The mother is quite interesting. I wonder if she is more focused on wanting her son to be happy, but isn't quite so okay with it all. Or is more shocked, as it seems like her son never really thought of anyone else, had a dating life, etc.
Also, gotta agree with the commenter above, comic makes me wish I'd had a childhood and met a lifelong friend this way. Practically a dream romance.

From someone whose mother says she just wants him to be happy but thinks he's going to hell for being gay, I don't get that sort of vibe from the mother. I would consider what some people are saying about maybe the mother being sick or something, or it could be that she knows just how cruel the world can be towards people who are LGBT and she wants her son to be safe.
Also, sorta had a childhood lifelong friend turned lover. When I was 13 I saw this really cute boy at school and that thought was the first I had ever thought of anyone as attractive before. That boy was my first crush! Later, my Freshman year of high school, I befriended this Sophomore girl, and turns out she was dating the boy I had had a crush on for so long. Really became friends with my friend/crush when I learned he was a furry too :) It wasn't until after High School I had my first boyfriend, and now it's been 2 years that we have been together. That first boy/person I had a crush on all the way back when I was 13, is my boyfriend right now. Getting ready to move in together too...people have said it's fairly romantic story...has been a definite pain getting to this point though :P

I say take as much time as you need. Don't speed up because other people want you to. I would understand the need to speed things up if you were working with some kind of publishing company, but this is not the case. I love this series, its very cute and I love getting to see more. I was so happy when I seen there was a 2nd edition :) So however long it takes you to do the pages is how long it takes. If it ever comes out in print and I see it at like a con or something I'm certainly gonna be buying.
Thanks for you words here!
I think I want to speed up a little because the pages are going to get harder to do after each page, the new characters are going to be in the spotlight, there will be bigger background compositions, background characters, cameos, etc
What I was thinking of was making this more simple, or don't overthink these details while working

MM I can understand that. Well, it can be hard to come up with ideas alone, cuz you're always thinking up new things that could be added and stuff and it can just get to be overwhelming.
If you don't have someone to bounce ideas off of, I would suggest finding someone :) Just having someone there to offer up different ideas, or to tell you just how amazing your idea sounds to reassure you of your own ideas, is a great relief to have.
(I'm just about always available if you need someone like this, ;) just saying)
You could definitely speed up some of the more simple pages for sure, like this page for example; but when it comes to introducing a new character or pages/frames that have more detailed backgrounds you should take a bit longer. Besides, I'm sure you got a million other things to be doing too (i.e. things going on in your life, your mate, commissions that you take on and dealing with the people that commissioned them, etc.)
Just remember you're an amazing artist ^-^ def one of my Top 10 Favs.

As much as I'd like to see the pages being uploaded with a faster rate, I understand it's not always that easy. Yet, I just want to say don't speed up, take all the time you need to leave the pages the way you want them to be. I loved the first comic, I'm eager to read what's going to happen, but I also want it to be... well not seemed like it was rushed. So yea take all the time you need. ^^
