Really love the creativity of the mental transformation in the form of confetti! There's something enthralling about making an abstract change like that end up in the form of something tangible, allowing the reader to more "physically" trace how far gone Alex really was. It's horrifying...yet I almost want to experience that sensation of myself leaking out of my ears as colorful bits of paper, and succumbing to the blissful ignorance that fills the mind!
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it and it intrigues you. I also really liked the idea of the old self exploding out in a burst of color and sound, literally popping. It also allows for the horror reveal when you realize what that means with the mall covered in bits of colorful paper.
