This is what happened:
1. Update process kept failing.
2. "Oh, I'll just do a clean install.....which.... why are they making this difficult..."
3. "Why can't I activate windows?"
4. "You've kept me on hold for two hours, why can't I activate windows....no, I don't want to buy windows, you said the upgrade is free. Yes, I own windows 7. No, I don't want to buy windows 10. NO, I DON'T WANT TO BUY WINDOWS 10!"
5. "So, the only way to do this is to use the upgrade tool..but THE UPGRADE TOOL DOESN'T WORK."
6. Looks to wipe Windows 10 and install Windows 7.
7. The Windows 7 disk doesn't have internet drivers???
8. ....The windows 7 disk doesn't have USB DRIVERS!????
9. Despair.
10 Buy cheap USB with junk drivers on them, in order to down load internet drivers.
11. Install ALL WINDOWS 7 UPDATES.
12. Get back in line for Windows 10 update.
13. I ALREADY HAVE IT RESERVED, STOP MAKING ME WAIT A MONTH.
14. Figure out how to trick Windows 10 into downloading.
15. Finally upgrade to Windows 10.
16+... (still dealing with).... Sound drivers....are from a company that folded.
