The Darkwolf Class Assault Cruiser was commissioned by the Earth Alliance one year after the cure to the Drakh Plague was located by the crew of the EAS Excalibur. The Darkwolf was created to hunt down any remaining Drakh warships and call in the cavalry to teach the formers servants of the Shadows a lesson. The Interstellar Alliance helped provide advanced propulsion systems in the form of an Advanced Gravitic Engine (the fin-like structures on the engine block), derived from Minbari technology.
