Like the title says, we're hosting a pipedrake designing contest! Now, I know you'll all have some questions, so lets start off answering some of those.

What is a Pipedrake?
We would hope you already know this, having shown up to this event in the first place, but in case we've failed somewhere along the line, they are adoptable, breedable, one-of-a-kind dragon sculptures. Why are you running this contest?
Well, we met some really nice new keepers at this last FA:U, but our community is still quite small. So we figured what better way to get the word out about our little darlings than to offer free, custom babies? :D

Did someone say 'free?'
That's right! First place will receive their design turned into a real pipedrake, and shipped off to them for free!

Alrignt, was that enough to pique your interest? Awesome, on to the main event!

RULES
(Because without rules it would be chaos. CHAOS I SAY!)

1: You must use the template linked below. We will not be accepting written descriptions or original art this time around (that's another upcoming contest); only recolors/felines of the template. But don't worry, our judges will only be looking at imaginative, original designs. Not skill level.

2: You may add lines for any traits you want to display (wings, ridgeback, feathers, etc). The template is only a starting point to ensure we have a clear understanding of each entry.

3: Please keep your design within the boundaries of the current subspecies and traits listings. You will be allowed to to incorporate any number of traits, but beware of cluttering up your design! We probably won't pick something with every single gene listed (how would I even sculpt that?!).

4: You are allowed to create as many different designs as you like, but you may only win once. We want to make this fair for everyone.

5: Entries may be done in digital or traditional media. If you want to print and color your entry by hand, just be sure your design is clear and as true to color as possible.

6: All entries must be submitted to the official pipedrake email: pipedrake.momma[at]gmail.com - you may also post them here to show off, or upload them to your FA/dA/etc... accounts, so long as there is both a link back to the main page (http://pipedrake.unykness.com) and a credit to Unyko (same username for both FA and dA) for the lineart.


PRIZES
(What you've all been waiting for!)

First Place: One fully custom, basic sized pipedrake based on your winning design! This 'drake will be shipped out to you at no cost.

Second Place: One semi-custom, petite sized pipedrake based on your design, also shipped out at no cost. We will choose elements of your design, but leave some out or change portions.

Third Place: One free random petite or petite breeding, or the equivalent cost ($15) off your next basic sized purchase or breeding. Shipping is not included in this.
