I've started doing sculpture and have been working on a pose from a life model / friend. I don't really post my life-drawings or that life-sculpture online though. Anyway, I finished said sculpture today so decided to just play around for the hour I had left... this is the result. (my other sculpture took me weeks and I like this far better)
I love the roughness to her so don't think I'll do any more sculpting with her now. She stands about 15cm tall... maybe a bit higher. You can see a video - rotation of her here:

I've a fair bit of clay left so might consider doing more modelling if I come across some free time.

No problem! I really like it, particularly the verticality of the tail.
Clay doesn't have very much tactile strength/ integrity so elongated limbs/ end points need support if they roam too far away from the central core.
Before we started on making the larger armature for our life-sized sculpture, we did a much smaller version welding thin rods for a maquette. The other class used wood for their preliminary armature, and we used bamboo skewers for sprues and supports for our wax sculptures. As you say, maybe a stick might help for next-time.
