
A more detailed look at the saber tooth lion I posted the other day.
Here you can actually see the mesh viewports (only viable up close) and how large they actually are. Vision in this head is amazing (and the head was actually made to fit glasses too!)
I swear he does have ears in there somewhere lol
This btw is my fave style of work, I call it "characterized real" the detail work and pelt are fairly taxidermy realistic BUT the overall shape and expression is still a touch toony/characterized.

With every head I try to make the viewports as big as I can get away with since good vision is personally very important to me because otherwise my claustrophobia kicks in and I feel trapped in the head. And in this case since the customer has glasses it means the viewports are further from the face than not having glasses, so bigger is defiantly better to assure he can see well.
