Here's a throwback I've been itching to post...

Remember pencil? Since the advent of Photoshop, most of my final illustrations are 100% digital. But this little treasure is still a gem in my book.

This piece, originally conceived for the cover of a black & whitecomic I published in 1997/98 titled, "Axis of Conflict", won Best-In-Show for the tri-state fantasy category in dry medium, 1998.

Incidentally, this illustration features Shellback (in back), and the original CrossBreeder, who is female and a mountain lion. ...I later assumed the name KrossBreeder and revamped the image as a different character.
