I'm curious about the format of your roleplay but, ahh, every forum I have ever joined I ended up abandoning in the span of a few months and I just can't seem to write anymore then a measly two paragraphs in any of my posts when roleplaying with people. :C

So glad you asked! As of yet, I've not found a forum that I trust for anthromorphic characters and I also fear the super short lifespan of most rp hosting forums, so right now I've been 1v1ing with my bae over Skype. Generally we do pretty long paragraph style just because we both enjoy descriptive posts and are still working out the kinks in the new scifi anthro world we've just started up, but hey, if you get your point across in two paragraphs, that's awesome. I think at the moment we'd like to find some roleplayers before starting up a forum, roleplaying with friends usually makes for a longer, more active roleplay! And the ability to swap over to a messaging platform for quickfire back and forths just make the story go so much faster than waiting on forums.

Through my many years of wandering from roleplay to roleplay I have seen proboards is the most popular and there's many customization options but! I agree it is difficult to upkeep a forum and I've seen many roleplays die out. I have had my most longest lasting stories through instant messengers. (One lasting... oh boy I guess a year and a few months now? With breaks every so often). I have just never participated in a largeer group of more then three people through IMS so I don't know how that all works out.

But anyways! I've given you a watch of course so I can keep seeing these neat-o space cats and how your roleplay world is progressing

IMs are definitely more for 1 on 1s, but I do enjoy the potential of having more players throw their characters into the mix, always makes for a good time.
