Nevada: How can a snake have boobs?
Got an ask directed specifically at one of my characters on tumblr. Figured I'd doodle a little reply. Nevada probably wasn't the best person to ask for an in depth answer though

Was quetzalcoatl (or other feathered serpents like Kukulcan, Q'uq'umatz, or Tohil) a woman? Most stuff I can find (for all of the feathered serpents tbh) uses a masculine pronoun, and like, none of the pictures had any traits I could use to gender the human depictions of Quetzalcoatl.
Also, I'm not sure what adding dragon to that mix really adds? Like, yeah they're all magic snake birds. (when they're not human shaped), but like, it seems "Dragon" is a description of that entire mix, and not like, something that quetzalcoatl was a mix of. As best I can tell mesoamerican cultures didn't have some 'dragon beast' independent of their gods with reptilian features.

Nevada can't like, innately grow her boobs by herself. But there are products that can induce pretty significant growth in the user. I don't really expect to draw boobs that are proportionally larger than like [url-http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17655798/]the ones Connor ends up with in this[/url], but that doesn't necessarily mean that's the max size.
The answer of Nevada is correct.
She is not a snake, she is a transhuman or posthuman. She may have traits from an ophidian but still have the mental functions of an homo sapiens and physiological traits of that species, she was born a male human that at some point decided to become a female and also express her individuality by modifying her body to look like an anthropomorphic snake, same as someone could use tattoos, body modifications or a sense of fashion.

Yeah, I've always found it odd to have people claim they don't give their reptilian anthros breasts because it wouldn't be anatomically correct. It's fine to not include them if one doesn't want to; that's personal choice, but the thing about anthropomorphism is that you're.. basically just modifying the human image with non-human features.
Aaaanyways, cool stuff as always! :>

Well if you look at the word "anthropomorphism", "anthropo-" is a word derived from Greek I think for "human". So I assume that means one is 'morphing the human shape' so to speak, though we're referring to art and style so again it comes back to preference. Nothing wrong with excluding features if it's a particular look you want.
