I finally remembered that I wanted a picture of a more typical Fabelwesen encounter and this is it!
The canine in bed was just about to sleep when the closet creaks open and the monster silently approaches to stare him down--those glowing eyes approaching from the darkness and eventually it's the only thing the poor canine can see as the monster leans face to face with it.

Fable really is such an interesting creature, in part, I feel, because it is precisely a "creature". It's well thought I I feel and, while vorishly inclined, doesn't come of as "fetishy", which I think is an accomplishment. Also is one of those characters that seems to have gotten my attention to the point my mind keeps wanting to write something featuring it. It's not often one see's a "monster" that has a believable nature that while in context would be a rather scary being to run into, but is in a sense actually harmless in a fashion.
