There is a trend of people making courses in Super Mario Maker that really want to force boss fights, some of them mercilessly stuffing the Koopa King right into the most cramped tiny space you can think of.
Naturally, this has inspired me.
I've been on a big Bowser kick lately thanks to this game...

Haha, for a second I thought Bowser was trapped in one of those invisible blocks. X)
I haven't come up with an interesting way to force boss fights yet that someone else hasn't already done, so my few levels that have them make it where you can just skip the boss if you want. I wish the game would let you make basic enemies tougher when you supersize them so you could have Yoshi's Island-style bosses.

MAAAAN don't give me more ideas! The fact you can't put him in ? blocks is tempting me.
You'd have to get creative with that. Personally I don't want to worry about it too much, since most people who play will probably want to get levels done quickly (especially in the 100-Mario challenge). I've been trying to make sure my levels are under 100 seconds long after this realization, especially since most boss fights will make players want to try to find cheap ways to get past them.

But they're fun ideas. :D I imagine a "choose your character" with the invisiblocks, kinda like those "here's every Amiibo costume" stages, except you get to /see/ what's inside before you pick (and it would totally be Bowser, Boshi and other such lovely baddies 8D)
Yeah, when I first got the game I was like "ALRIGHT, TIME TO MAKE SOME STUPID HARD LEVELS. IF PEOPLE BEAT THEM EASILY THEN I FAILED". Then I realized most people don't actually want hard levels. So I've started trying to find that right balance between fun and challenge.

Some people don't realize that players just wanna finish the stage, not fight a ton of fake difficulty that takes 100+ seconds.
(My favorite so far is having a giant Bowser blocking the path with nothing but single green Koopas popping out of pipes at an insanely slow rATE IM KIDDING I HATE WHEN PEOPLE DO THAT)
