On the other hand, I don't know what you used for the background! How did you do that?

Indeed! I wanted to make a quickie sketch to capture the idea/feeling I had in mind (though truthfully I have probably done this same basic illustration about 3-4 times, so clearly it's a recurring idea/feeling that doesn't need to be captured any more)

I used the same brush, but used the "finger" tool to smear it around for a whirling, mist effect! I used the same brush for a lot of the fire effects on my dragon painting, I find it works well to simulate natural effects like fire, mist, etc

Aw, don't say that. If you feel it needed to be captured, then it needs to be captured again. Doesn't matter if you've done it 0, 1, 3 or 37821 times before
