Such is the nature /now/. Everything is so fly-by-night, 5 second sound bite. I've got contacts on various lists that span well over a decade, sometimes years go by between conversations, but we usually pick up and banter like no time has elapsed at all. Really just depends on the kinds of friends/people you yammer with online I suppose.
I don't mean to add another comment. X3 But I do apply the "If I don't have anything interesting to say then I will not speak" cause there is no point. I will only check in if I feel I have not spoken enough and want to speak legitimately to another. But other than that I am sure there is a middle ground of mildly interesting things like The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
