I was just thinking of the parallels between Sonic 06 and Superman story "The Death and Return of Superman" and seriously, it's blowing my mind. Might as well do something fiesty about it too.

Huh, wow...

Doomsday and Mephisto (was that his name?) both have those weird crystalline outcroppings in roughly the same place. Nice catch... Seems almost telegraphed.

Mephiles. Yeah, it's really fun to think that way honestly... There is just so many parallels. Both characters were also poor character designs made solely to kill the main character in order to boost sales, and the death was an immediate fakeout.

Also Sonic came back to life as Super Sonic, alternate color scheme and an alternate hair style... Superman came back to life with a mullet and a black costume... I'm just saying, man.

Still i've some soft spot for doomsday(less for mephiles). I think it had to do with my age when i read the story at the time. Nostalgia for my youth mostly

WOW, SuperSonicGirl looks really great. Its amaze to this day that Sonic was able to survive after the devastation of Sonic 06, I really thought it spell the end of the series.
