Dust: An Elysian Tail OST - 06 - The Glade, by Hyperduck Soundworks.

So this was originally gonna be just picture of a random, magical forest, but partway through, the blue and purple light started to remind me of this picture from Dust: An Elysian Tail, and... well, things progressed.

I'm rather proud of this. Didn't take too long, and was mostly just a random thought that ascended to a picture ^^

Oh, and if you're not listening to that music, go back and click it now. Dust has a fantastic soundtrack, on a parallel with the likes of Okami in my opinion.

Thoughts Now:
At the time, this was a rather quick picture, something to get the idea out of my head and see if I can do another of those vista pieces, that I experimented with early last year. And the result... well, it's something I should pay attention to clearly, because as I look at it now I realise that the colours used here are better than a lot of the colours I use now!

Colour is something I really love, and interesting lighting and colour situations really catch my attention. It's what caused me to draw this picture, in fact, and probably why it's so good - the colours here were referenced from a similar scene in the game.

So I suppose the moral here is to reflect on works and see what goes well, and then use that in the future - because I adore the colours used here and should definitely look to do it more in the future. Well - let's see how that turns out, eh?
