How very pretty she is in her winter coat. Auto focus, a blessing and curse at the same time. For myself, unless Im intending to shoot an action scene, for wildlife I keep my camera switched over to manual focus. I find that this ends up working the best, especially when in the grass. it is amazing how easy it is for the camera to focus on a single strand of grass, and what an ungodly bit of hell it is to get it to focus on what you want it to.

Heh, part of why I'm unhappy about it is I specifically bought a camera with manual focus. At close range I figured it would take too long to fiddle with.

It is a little cumbersome at first, but with some practice you can get pretty quick at it, especially compared to when the AF starts 'dancing' in and out.
