This gal was incredibly patient with me clomping my huge feet through ice and bushes to follow her around. Then from about 10 feet away, my camera auto-focuses on a strand of grass instead. Argh.

How very pretty she is in her winter coat. Auto focus, a blessing and curse at the same time. For myself, unless Im intending to shoot an action scene, for wildlife I keep my camera switched over to manual focus. I find that this ends up working the best, especially when in the grass. it is amazing how easy it is for the camera to focus on a single strand of grass, and what an ungodly bit of hell it is to get it to focus on what you want it to.
