When Tojo announced her plans to join Manami and pursue her dream as a JPop Idol, her parents practically disowned her on the spot. Though this left some irrepairable emotional scars, Tojo found a mother in her manager. Manami took care of Tojo, and nurtured her to become the strong woman she is today. Manami later officially adopted Tojo as her own as a gift for releasing her first platinum album.
