She wanted a way to denote her room at a convention, no matter who was staying with her. Cats hide and sleep in the oddest ways. This plus Hidey Hole were my idea, and she totally let me do them. She gave me complete freedom on ideas, and I suggested something akin to Melman in the crate in Madagascar, and out of several suggested names she loved hidey hole.
