And you can always be strong.
Lift your voice with the first light of dawn.
Dawn is just a heartbeat away. Hope is just a sunrise away.
Distant song of melody scoring through the night to your heart.
Auroras make circumstance in the solitude of our life.
Pleading silent arias gently grieving in captive misery.
Darkness sings a violent song yet our hope can still rise up.
Nightmares come where shadows grow.
Lift your voice lift your heart.
Fear not this night. You will not go astray.
Though shadows fall still the stars find a way.
- Jeremy Soul, Fear Not This Night
One of my oldest and most loved characters, Sleipnir, Loki's son. Sleipnir ap Balor, in this instance, as Loki ap Balor is my fursona. He's a cute kid... he's grown a lot! Was about time I drew him again. This time with his buddy Ratatöskr. They're messing with some magical fireflies which will result in the arboreal lights. He's a good kid. He's probably covering up some mischief his old man caused; probably rescuing some poor lost human souls.
Watercolour, ballpointpen. Sold at Eurofurence 21.

I simply love this piece <3
And especially the lovely Characters!
The idea with the Fireflies is so gorgeous and the text passage nearly made me cry.
I always listen to this song, when the fear in me is to huge and I'm all alone. Now I
will think of your piece, with a smile in my face :)

Equitaurs are those taurs with a horse body AND horse head. :) Hippocentaurs are those with a horse body and a humanoid upper body/head, afaik.
And you don't need to say 'tauren', Squirrel, I just meant to explain why I sometimes call them that because I'm German. Also, I never played WoW and don't give a shit about what they call things. :p I will try to stick to English, tho, because 'tauren' was a mistake, anyway. Why would I slip in a German word when talking to you guys? I just wasn't paying enough attention when typing that.

I like to call that "a case of squirrel brain". I get that pretty often, myself... Not sure why that is.
And I like that approach -- Not a fan of how popular media frequently messes up the mythological terms and characters on which they base their works. Let's give them back their original meaning. 83
