It's extra odd, since marsupials have no use for them. That's what the pouch is for, and why only the girls have them. It works as both a uterus and a feeder while the joey is growing.

What, would YOU want to wear pants all day when you have a coat of fur all over your body? I imagine it would get pretty stuffy in those!

Why yes! I have actually done prelim sketches that have more stuff to tops, especially for men, such as vests and inline pockets and whatnot.

Ok Ill admit I am seriously curious now if guys only wear bottoms, and girls only wear tops.

Only ask cause Ive been enjoying this comic, but don't remember seeing any male characters yet, besides the little one

I did suddenly get struck with some thoughts, though. Would an ultra-orthodox Muslim woman in A&H Club wear a burqa that left the pelvis area bare (which admittedly, would defeat part of the purpose of a burqa)? What if there was someone who did normally wear pants and shoes (I keep thinking that's how you'd represent someone like the Doctor )?

It's always good to see the little Joey he's certainly a handful but an adorable one ^.^ Plus I like the whole pouch realism bit. Hmm I hope it was wise to bring him to the dinner otherwise I forsee a bit of a mess if he acts up.

I'm thinking bottoms are optional where tails would get in the way.

Well, I'd guess they call them 'tops' because that's what they cover. They would sure look funny wearing blouses on their bottoms.
