A long delayed gift for
Ty Vulpintaur
The sudden and unexpected explosion of noise coming from the phone caused Ty to jump, nearly falling out of the chair he was sitting in. Maybe I shouldn't of turned it up so loud, he thought, wincing. The grey furred anthro fox picked up the the frantically ringing object, quickly answering the call on the screen.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Ty, I found somthing you might want to check out, someone found some strange stuff in some kind of underground cave system, all covered in carvings, we need someone who knows about archeology, you wanna check it out? The person calling sounded gruff, but friendly, it was one of his friends from construction work.
"Yeah, sure, what kind of stuff?" Ty was a bit of a treasure hunter, and the prospect of a new find excited him, especially if it had anything to do with a undiscovered cave system and unexplained carvings.
"One of the workers said he found some old carvings, stone artifacts, that kind of stuff, but there looks like there was more further in the caves, you game for checking it out?" Ty could barely contain his excitement, this was his big break, maybe he would even get an article written on his find, if he was lucky. He grabbed the necessary equipment he needed for the exploration, throwing it in the back of his truck, as he set off to the dig site.
Arriving at the gate, the wolf standing guard waved him into the secluded construction site, gravel crunching underneath his truck tires as he entered. The site was small, no more than 100 feet wide, most of the area was dug out for a building's foundation, but there was an open hole 5 feet in diameter, near the center. A few idling cement trucks were nearby alongside a few trailers.
Stopping once he was inside, he stepped out to greet the lead manager, a tall, shaggy haired lion, in a silvery reflective vest, who had called him about this site.
"Hey, what's up?" Ty asked, jumping down from the car and onto the gravel covered ground. The lion turned around, smiling when he saw the vulpine.
"Ty! We have some pictures of the carvings that were inside, come take a look at them." he said, gesturing towards one of the mobile command centers that sat on cinder blocks near to the front gate. Opening the door, the construction worker took off his yellow helmet, setting it on a nearby table and shaking out his long hair. He explained to Ty what had happened, while they were digging out the foundation, a hole had opened up, swallowing a worker. The worker was uninjured, but he saw that he had fallen into an ancient looking cave. The pictures had been laid out on one of the several plastic folding tables set up in the trailer.
"The guy who fell down there said there was a bigger cave, but it looked to dangerous to go into." Ty studied the pictures laying in front of him.
"I've never seen anything like the carvings in these pictures...at least carved into the sides of a cave, I have no idea who could have made them..."
The deeply chiseled relief carvings depicted characters who had a normal torso and faces with features not too unlike Ty's, only female, but the lower body was that of a four legged creature, the torso attached where the head would normally be.
"They're taurs, all of the carvings are of females, but what are these doing in a cave underground?" The lion shrugged.
"All I know is that the workers don't want to go down there again, you want to go down and check it out?" Ty nodded.
Ty stood on the edge of the sinkhole, looking into the black abyss. A ladder had been placed into the hole, and Ty carefully lowered himself into the gaping maw, switching on his shoulder flashlight so he could see farther in the darkness. Despite being mere feet from the surface, the cave was black as pitch, forcing Ty to rely on his hearing and smell in the void.
The carvings were not far from the sinkhole, up close, the skill of the artists was apparent, Ty thought as his fingers traced the chiseled walls with a kind of silent. reverence. He continued further into the cave, light bouncing across the wall with every step.
The carvings become more and more frequent as he continued farther and farther into the darkness. It might of just been his imagination, or the bouncing flashlight, but the figures on the wall seemed to dance and move, suddenly springing to life under the beam of his light.
He reached where the ceiling had caved in, carvings ripped out of the walls, presumably by the long tendrils of tree roots that had snaked through the ceiling and caused a cave in.
Luckily for him, the rubble had shifted in such a way as to allow an opening, albeit a small opening, but the crack was just big enough for Ty to squeeze his body through the narrow gap.
The sudden transition from the cramped tunnels to the incredible size of the open cavern was incredible. What had previously been a small tunnel had opened into the expansive cave, walls covered with even more beautiful carvings of the four legged taurs. Ty stopped dead, unable to process the magnitude of the place.
The room itself was mostly empty, there was evidence of ancient metal tools that had been used to carve the art onto the walls. As he stepped forward, something bumped against the side of his boot, hidden in the sandy floor.
He bent down to retrieve the baseball-sized object from where it lay on the ground. Brushing it off, he realized what it was that he had found, a dark, stone statue, carved with the same beauty as that of the carvings that decorated the vaulted walls around him. Ty examined the all artefact, despite its size, the detail of it was incredible, every hair and limb of the carved taur figure was made in the greatest detail.
He was just about to safely pack the stone taur in his backpack when he felt a sudden, sharp pain jolted up his arm, like an electric shock. He staggered to his knees, a dull pain throbbing through his arm. His head felt like it was spinning, a sudden intense feeling of vertigo assailed him.
The feeling did not last long, the pain was quickly replaced by a feeling that something was incredibly wrong, something was off. He stood shakily from his crouched position, brushing off his pants, he wondered what had happened.
"W-what just happened?" Ty asked, still unsure what was going on. "What the heck was that about?" He asked looking at the statue clutched in his paw. "It was as if...nnn...NNNGGGH!"
Ty doubled over, feeling his insides give a sudden, painful kick, stomach churning. A sudden, burning between his legs, Ty clutched his groin in pain. Something was pushing his male organs into his body, leaving him with the feeling of emptiness, as his pelvis unopened into a more...interior...anatomy.
An annoying strand of hair fell into the front of Ty's vision, and, without thinking, he brushed it back, not noticing the starting new development. He had long hair. Incredibly long locks of golden hair was growing from his scalp, down his back with an alarming swiftness.
His arms and fingers slimmed down to what would be considered, in most cases, very feminine. His face, too, was becoming slimmer and smoother, more female, to match his long hair. His throat constricted as his adam's apple disappeared, vocal cords spasming as they changed to a much higher pitch. Thighs thickened and strained against his pants, hips widening to give the former male a body most females would kill to have. He gave a sudden sharp cry as his spine contorted, curving into a very S shaped curve.
"Oh...oh no..." Ty could guess what came next. Nipples stood on end, stiffening, as a warm feeling spread across her chest. Fatty flesh was gathering under her shirt, slowly pushing the red shirt she was wearing. The mounds continued out, giving the impression of two small balloons slowly being inflated.
"Aw come on..." Ty complained as she watched her chest grow to a size that would shame even some women. The shirt was stretched nearly to its limit, over a bust it was not designed to contain.
"I-is it o-over?" The voice that came from her mouth was a full octave higher than the masculine one he had expected to come out.
"So that's what this thing does," She thought, looking at the thing still grasped tightly in her paw. It took her a second to realize what was about to happen.
"If this is female, and it made me female, why aren't I a taur?" As in response, there was a sudden tight feeling in her abdomen.
Something was pushing out, giving her a strange stretching feeling as her skeletal structure began to grow outward.
Pushing out from her waist, a second pair of legs was growing outward, as her back legs were pushed backwards, spine lengthening as Ty sudden found herself a few feet longer than she had been. The seams of her already overtaxed pants gave way, as her hindquarters pushed out. The new legs continued growing outward, catching her as she fell forward onto her new appendages. Now fully a quadruped, Ty was faced with the issue of mobility. She lifted a leg forward, trying to get reaccustomed to the extra legs.
However, there was a more pressing matter at hand. Was the room, just a little bit...smaller? The crack she had pushed through what seemed like hours ago, now looked a few feet too short. She was still standing perfectly on all fours, so what was with this feeling of vertigo? It suddenly dawned on the four legged vulpine that she was bigger than she had been when she had entered this chamber.
It was like stepping onto a slowly rising platform. The floor felt like it was much smaller than it had been even seconds ago. A sudden fear struck her, she was in an enclosed space, now rapidly getting more and more close, and the ceiling felt like it was about to hit her. The strained shirt that had made it this far in the transformation, now fell uselessly from her growing body, far too small to contain the taur.
Now the size of a small house, Ty's shoulders pushed against the top of the cave, and for a heartstopping moment, she thought she was about to be crushed under the power of the transformation, but, with a powerful shudder, the claustrophobic ceiling finally crumbled around her, her upper torso sticking out of the ground, the rest of her below ground. She could see the construction site where this all began, now no more than a toy set to the 150 foot taur. With a carelessness movement, she nearly took out one of the cement trucks.
With as much care as possible, she extracted her hindquarters from the earth, minding where the small site sat. Her car was no bigger than her paw, she thought, looking down.
A 20 foot smile formed on her lips.
"I guess I'm walking home today!"
