My brother and a couple friends always complain (since I leave the characters/controllers left inverted) that "This isn't an airplane! Up is up and down is down, be normal!", which always makes me laugh

It's never occurred to me to play upside down.

I can do on my side, no problem. Upside down is a bit tricky, but once you manage to get figure out your controls and your movements onscreen, it's fine.

...until the blood starts to rush to your head. That gets irritating.

Hehe, I am also always "happy" when someone had left the chars /controls inverted, always leads into certain death within seconds lol

Yes, there's always a little pleasure to be had when a game starts up and people start shouting out "Wait, WTF is up with my controls!?". It means a quick and easy kill as they scramble though the menus to change it

Oh I occacionally did that to a friend of mine who always uses inverted controls. Guess I have a lil racoon somewhere too for having such ideas and not winning square and fair hehe

It's perfectly fair; they should've checked on that before the game started, and then I would've given them a break to change.

Besides, I tend to suck against my friends, so this just evens the playing field a bit

I'll admit, I never played System Shock 2, so I knew nothing of anything until I played Bioshock. Still, I loved it in every which way, from the characters to the combat to the steampunk. Good stuff.

Bioshock is pretty much what System Shock 2 was. Everything is the same. the weapons in teh 2 are different versions of one another. The story is basically the same with the same plot twist. The things that make System Shoclk 2 better are things like it is more challenging and the atmosphere is better. It is also more in depth

I prefer FPS on PC. I grew up pon Doom, Quake and Wolfenstien

I started on Doom, but as soon as I switched to consoles I couldn't go back. Just can't operate with a mouse and keyboard, doesn't work for me.

I am good at both, but I find a mouse to be more precise for aiming

That's what I hear, but I'm more comfortable with a joystick. Works better with me.

It is indeed awesome, but I've slowly gotten accustomed to the xbox controller-s (the 360 is a bit better, actually).

Of course, they all fall before the awesome might of the Gamecube controller *runs for cover*

The GC had a decent controller,. but it gave me hand cramps if I played it too long. IT was better than that....thing for the 64.

I don't care much for the d pad and shoulder buttons on the 360 controller. It does have better triggers than the PS3 controller though

The GC one worked well for me, it just slipped right into my hands (especially the shoulder buttons). And most of the games I played never really used the d-pad, so I was OK with it (though it is a little aggravating, you're right). And while I grew up with the N64 ('twas my first console), I'm amazed I could ever control those things. They're just weird.

I try not to be a fanboy (for consoles, at least ), since I've owned them all at one point or another. It's all about the specific games and whichever ones I want to buy, nothing more.

Console fanboyism poisses me off big time. As CTRL ALT DEL (the best web comic ever) said, God hates console fanboys.

I loved the 64 as well, biut I never liked the controller. The Dual Shock was so much better, and Sony took the rumble feature and made it downright amazing

That is definitely true, when it comes to rumble Sony has always been on top. Other controllers just can't compare (half the time other controllers don't even rumble).

My original X-Box controller was broke when I bought it so it never rumbled. I need a second 360 controller. LEft 4 Dead damn it! I needs it

Fucking dead space!!!!! HOLY SHIT that game is amazing dude. I never thought anything would replace RE4 as my all time favorite survival horror game, but Dead Space is just that fucking good. It is BRILLIANT fro mbegining to end. Cool and imaginitive weapons. A very cool story. Incrediubly immersive. Dripping with atmosphere. Brilliant sound design. Fantastically varied enviroments. More strategic than other games of it's kind. It's kjust an amazing game from begining to end

I need: Force Unleashed, World at War, DArk Sector, LittleBigPlanet (I want this so bad I can almost taste it), Eternal Poison, Sonic Chronicles, Mirrors Edge....just to name a few

I know, I know, I want it superbad. I think I;m getting it for Christmas, at which point I'm going to play it until my eyes turn red. Movie's not half bad, too. Sure, it's packed to the brim with cliches, but it's got some outstanding gore (and that makes it all worth it).

So many games, so little time...

What makes the movie cool though is all the subtle little things they put in from teh game itself that you won't get if you did not follow the game. It was a pretty cool movie. Yes it is a little cliche, but it still fun and cool.

Have you watched the digital comics? They tell the story of what happened on the colony (as opposed to the movie, which is what takes place on the ship). They are better than the movie IMO. They keep building and building suspension until it just explodes. It's great

Yeah, a friend told me the movie is like that, with all the little references to the game. When I finally pay it I'll know for sure. And no, I haven't read the comics yet, still need to do that (I've heard they're quite good).

They are quite good indeed. Check them out on the official Dead Space site, the PSN (and possibly XBL. I have not checked) or Gametrailers. They are more than worth watching. :Like I said, I quite enjoyed it. I thought it was better than the movie

You are quite welcome. It's very interesting. I have watched each one multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ugh. Waiting for the next one to be released was a pain in the ass. lol. I was sitting there going "ARGH! WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!!!" lol.
