Oh my gosh!! I love the face!

I know you uploaded a handful of these today on dA, but I have to say this one stuck out to me the most. Just something about the background lighting and color choices that really matches well with the character's own color scheme and adorably contagious expression. As simple as it may seem, that's some of the best detail with lighting I've seen you do in a subject's eyes in recent memory. Really well done in my honest opinion.

Here's a little secret >o> MOST of the time...not always, but most of the time I upload them in the order of least fav to fav if I bulk upload like that. This one was last. Meaning it was my fav. XPXPXP

But yus I agree, the shading came out quite nice on this one. c=It has a sort of old disney/smooleh style cross feel to it for me.

It would seem our minds think alike sometimes...which is a great thing indeed! Usually I upload in order done if I have multiple pictures finished, regardless of my own favorites of the bunch. But yeah, this too was my favorite out of all the new ones you did.

Heh, the Disney vibe certainly comes to mind now that you mentioned it! Always did enjoy those old-school classics.

The reason I save the best to last more or less, is because over the years, I know that the in betweens are the most likely to get overlooked if you upload in bulk. First and last are most likely to get noticed of the bunch. That's how I set it up. That and well, then it's set up in a "grand finale" format.

Yup yup. THe character had been drawn in a very lion king like style--the ref I had to go off of. And I felt like taking away those darker eye ring colors made the character not look like itself. In keeping them it gave it a sort of disney/me hybrid feel in the end XD which is pretty neat.

I can kind of relate to that feeling myself, nowadays, and I don't even upload that often. It's even rarer that I upload in bulk...but due to my drought of fully completed art this year I have three pictures planned, one of which is finished and two are nearly finished. When I go to upload them I might do one every few days so as to give the last one a bit of a chance to be in the spotlight so to speak. Though with my track record of receiving comments these days from not many others, I'm not getting my hopes too high. |D

Ah, yes...that's where I was thinking too. I had a feeling it was reminiscent of TLK; just couldn't quite place it at the time.

Yeah that's not a bad idea especially if you don't have a ton to upload, then generally speaking, spacing them out works better. Comment counts tend to have a major ebb and glow. .....flow, not glow.

I'd personally be glowing a lot if I get some feedback from more than I have been...but at this point I'd take anything really. :b

Hahahahahha X3 yeah when there's big gaps in between people tend to comment less......when there isn't big gaps in between people tend to as well though. PEOPLE ARE DIFFICULT TO FIGURE OUT. XP

I've noticed a drop in my audience since late 2010-early 2011 and has stayed that way ever since. I can't figure out how to entertain them anymore. x.X

the other thing s people lose interest in the site or move on/get a different focus. I find that pretty often too.

True, yeah they do sometimes. Guess I just sometimes wonder what it is I'm doing wrong if a few still comment on related friends' art, and I do on their own, but not they on mine.

But oh well...life is a mystery, lol.
